This is actually a long overdue post. My blogs
Naruto Shippuuden and
Peeked were both entry to the recently concluded 2nd Philippine Blog Awards which was held at the One Esplanade last September 21. The event with a thousand bloggers attendees totally slipped on my mind because I’m overwhelmed with my current workload and forgot it to note on my calendar. Thanks to the organizers for making the said event available via live stream.
Unfortunately, both of my blogs didn’t make it on the final list for Best Entertainment Category and Best Photo Blog Category respectively. However, two of my blog posts via Peeked made it to Best Single Post Division for Photo Blog category while my Blog Action Day post which calls for preserving our Mother Nature was also a finalist for Best Single Post under Arts & Culture Category.
PBA already released the badges for the finalist, hopefully next year; a badge comes with a winning trophy for my blogs so that means I have to work harder. But seriously, being on the final list is already an overwhelming achievement for me. See you next year. I promise that I'll work with my calendar so I won’t miss the event next time, hahaha.
Feel free to visit my posts which made it to finals under Best Single Post Division.

Last Friday, April 4th, we celebrate TFC’s (The Filipino Channel) 14th Anniversary. The celebration kicks off with the formal blessing of our office after it underwent renovation to further accommodate our growing family and then followed by a small feast. There’s a tradition where after the holy blessing, the host priest would normally throw coins and you have to catch them and keep it which will serve as you lucky charm. Funny thing is, I was beside him then he said “Hijo, you can just grab here from my basket!”. Happy 14th birthday TFC!

They finally got my name’s spelling – right. I have been a regular to Starbucks – the largest coffeehouse in the world, ever since I discovered this coffeehouse and started to crave for their coffee blends. It is kinda off sometimes holding up a cup of coffee that you think doesn’t belongs to you because the name was misspelled. Well not really an issue for me, I just laugh along with the baristas.

In times between do and die situation, we will never know the result until we get there. Most of the times, we have to sacrifice if we need to achieve something. And whether it’ll turn out favorable for you or not, important thing is we learned from it. Life as we know it is a gamble after all. I’ve been asking for “sign” for the past few weeks, something to do with my career move and will definitely have a big impact not only onto me but to people around me, and “He” answered my prayers thru Father’s homily. I am positive about it and I do hope that it’s all worth the gamble. Life could be tricky most of the time, so the way to get out of it --- look at the brighter side! And for sure “He” has something big installed for all of us so cheer up!

The picture was taken a day before Christmas back in my hometown –
Anilao. Anilao wasn’t only popular for diving spots, though it underwent some face-lift to be competitive with nearby barangay’s, I am proud that we had preserved our mountain, hillside and beaches. Going back to the photo, we are heading to our little farm to get some fresh coconut for our
buko salad for our noche buena. Can you see the landscape? And the coconut trees forming like a welcome arc (but of course missing the “welcome” message). To wrap up this post, as I’ve said on my “
Blog Action Day” post,
let us work closely in preserving whatever is left of the pristine environment. Let’s aim to call people to come together for a common goal and that is to stand for Mother Nature.

This is my niece/goddaughter Jenjen striking a pose for my Sony Ericsson K610i camera phone. Very bubbly for a three-year old kid who loves candies and "pancit canton". Gazing upon her picture --- its priceless. And man, look at her fingernails!

I’ve wanted to pursue my photography talent for a very long time now, and since I am an active
ProBlogger perhaps I’ll start thru photo blogging, and hopefully everything will follow. And for my premiere post, I’ll have this picture taken last November 2007. And who’s the lovely girl on the photo? It’s
Tiny – a friend and colleague, drum rolls!
you’re an instant star Tiny. Kidding aside, “
Peeked” blog promises to
ONLY feature “
Raw and Unedited” photo taken by yours truly, anything and everything that interests me. Please do support “
Peeked” the newest baby of “
Naruto Shippuu-whatever” blog (as labeled by my friend
Glady).
